Lake Ohau is a delight for boaties, especially during the long, warm days of summer. You can be on the water in mere minutes, with the nearest boat ramp located at the bottom of Lake Ohau Quarters’ driveway.
Head up to the bay at the top of the lake and spend your day water skiing or zipping around on a biscuit, or pop out for a spot of fishing. Jet boats can venture further up the Dobson River for another shot of spectacular mountain scenery. Be sure to check the open season for jet boats on the river.
Enjoy your boating morning, noon or night. There’s no one to disturb except local farmers who are up so early and late to bed they won’t care what hour of day you rev the engine!
